Dept of Transportation Set to Force All Drivers to Install Wireless Devices in Cars-- V2V Communication
Comments Due by October 20th
Privacy, Health, Safety Concerns. For those who are electro-sensitive, this will make driving and riding in cars or buses impossible.
Submit Your Public Comments NOW. Only by YOUR ACTION Is Change Possible. If you don't comment, you are putting your stamp of approval on this heinous action!
Commenting is simple.
Submit your comments here: http://www.safercar.gov/v2v/resources.html Click on the yellow button to submit your comments. Do IT!!!! Please have the intelligence and courtesy to write your own letter. I have just discovered that a letter I carefully and thoughtfully wrote to NHTSA detailing my own unique experiences with wireless has been submitted multiple times by various parties. This does nothing but detract from our message. If you see the same letter copied over and over again, full of personal details but submitted by multiple people, what do you think? Do you find the letter credible? Do you think the person you are writing to will find it credible? This is why form letters are not very worthwhile.
Keep a copy of your submission for future use. The government keeps coming up with new proposals. Saving your commments will save you time!
Summary: The Department of Transportation is accepting comments on a rule--that it's likely to approve, unless you act--that would force all drivers to have a wireless communication device installed on their vehicle. It would broadcast each car's location, direction, and speed. The government claims that “the system will not collect or store any data identifying individuals or individual vehicles, nor will it enable the government to do so." Didn’t the NSA say the same thing about cell phones and smart meters? Here we go again with them forcing citizens into a world where there is no escape from invasive and dangerous wireless technology. For those who are electro-sensitive, this will make driving and riding in cars or buses impossible.
More information: Department of Transportation official Federal Register notice; / http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2014-08-20/pdf/2014-19746.pdf Docket Number: NHTSA–2014–0022
If you submitted comments in the past on wireless technology in cars, you can type your name into google, type in "federal register" and any words you remember using. You should eventually find your comments. That's how I find the comments I previously submitted in NHTSA-2014-0014.

OLD ITEMS:
Vote for this! Get the word out! Take Back Your Power, the movie about smart meters, has been nominated for the 2013 AwareGuide Transformational Film of the Year. Go here and vote. http://awareguide.com/index.php Share with your friends. This is a way we can get the word out. So many worthy causes, but a smart meter on your home is certain death. Deadline February 3.
ACTION ITEM. Smart Meter Mandate. Take 5 minutes. The Massachusetts governor and legislature are attempting to streamroll through a bill that would mandate smart meters. YOUR COMMENTS MATTER! The record of comments can be used by lawyers. If Massachusetts mandates the meters, it sets a precedent. The U.S. Congress has a bill before it that would mandate smart meters. Please write now. Deadline is Friday, January 17 at 5 p.m. You can say anything you like. Comments about how the meters have affected your health are especially pertinent. Subject line: DPU Docket 12-76-A To: dpu.efiling@state.ma.us , mark.marini@state.ma.us. (Please Bcc: HaltMAsmartMeters@gmail.com ). From: your name, address, phone and email. (Note you may direct the DPU not to post your contact information on the DPU website by sending two versions labeled 'for paper file' which includes the above and 'to be posted on internet' which includes only your name ). Yes, you can submit comments if you live outside the state.
End of Landlines Nationwide—AT&T Seeking to Force Customers Nationwide to Use Wireless or U-verse. It is very important that you comment to the FCC. Deadline is April 10. Your comments build the basis of a legally actionable record, and that matters! (Here in Michigan, our lawyer has used the fact that municipalities have passed resolutions against smart meters in our Court of Appeals case.)
Please take the time to submit a comment—at a minimum, simply state that you oppose this. This is about more than phone lines:
U-verse puts dirty electricity into the phone line and thence into the wiring of your home via your water pipe (which serves as the ground for your electrical system). I already experience problems from a regular landline because of all the junk on the lines. This will only make it worse for everyone, since the very high frequency signals will go from the phone line to the ground pipe in your home and thence to the rest of the electrical grid. (If you don’t understand dirty electricity, please click here.)
U-Verse also provides a WiFi service within each home. The default setting is ON. Whether the transmitter may be turned off at all is unclear.
Please submit your comments—at a minimum, simply state that you oppose this. Your comments form part of a record that can be used legally. If you are restricted in your activities by the presence of RF radiation or dirty electricity, please give personal examples to add power to your input.

Here is the FCC’s commentary. It is very interesting reading!
Smart Water Meters in Shelby Township, Michigan: ACT NOW!
Shelby Township is poised to install smart water meters. One of our members is organizing people to oppose this. Please read below, and contact us ASAP. The hearing is in May. We will give you a date as soon as we know it.
Shelby Township Department of Public Works (DPW) Director David Miller said he intends to place the approval of radio-read water meters on the board’s agenda in May and explained that the timing would allow him to package the proposal with the renewal of the township’s water tap contract. He said that the smart water meter “emits (radio frequencies) less than a cellphone and half of a baby monitor that you would put in a crib.” Shelby Township currently is equipped with analog meters with no digital components.
We have heard from enough people who have been harmed by smart water meters to know that the installation of smart water meters is not a good idea. Someone needs to research the same information regarding these meters as smart electric meters: (1) power density; (2) frequency of transmission; (3) whether the meters are broadcasting all day (whether to the water utility OR to other meters; (4) whether the meters chatter with each other. Once you do this, send us the information.
These smart water meters add yet another layer of radiofrequency (microwaves) to our environment (click here for a great depiction of this). These waves intersect with each other and amplify, meaning that the hit of RF you get is even higher than from an individual transmitter in isolation. Click here for the full news article. Click here for several pictures showing how waves amplify.

Get the word out to parents
Parents magazine is researching the effects of radiation on children from electronic devices and will report what experts are saying in an upcoming issue. One SMEN member has already written to them about smart meters, which are a radiation-emitting electronic device that you can never turn off. She says, “I think hearing from more than one person in this matter will cause them to mention smart meters. Their subscription base is huge. Could you please send a shout out to your website readers to write Parents magazine. This is a great opportunity to bring it out there. "Write them at writeus@parents.com. Include your daytime phone number, city, and state. They also have a Facebook page, which is a great way to get the word out to them and lots of parents. ell them why this matters. You can use the information on our website and the Michigan Stop Smart Meters website to help with your letter.

Terms to Know
Advanced meter: smart meter (term used by DTE to hide the fact it is a smart meter).
AMI meter and AMI program: another name for the smart meter and the smart meter program. AMI stands for advanced metering infrastructure.
Blood-brain barrier: EMFs can cause the blood-brain barrier to be breached, allowing toxins to enter the brain. Toxin entry is thought to be partially responsible for Alzheimer’s, dementia, and Parkinson’s.
Dirty electricity: spiky, pulsed electromagnetic field generated by smart meters that rides through building wiring and permeates the building’s rooms. Responsible for many of the health problems seen with smart and digital meters.
Electromagnetic fields (EMFs): consist of an electrical field and a magnetic field. Fields are created by the flow of electrical current through the wire, sunlight, etc.
Electromagnetic frequency: examples are 60 Hz electrical current of your home, RF of a cell phone. Often used interchangeably with electromagnetic field.
Electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS): sensitivity to electromagnetic fields. Symptoms are complex and involve all bodily systems
Hydrogen bonds: Electrostatic bonds that help hold the DNA double helix together. Breakage of hydrogen bonds may cause changes in DNA that can lead to cancer. RF and other EMFs may disrupt the Hydrogen bonds.
Meter upgrade: the installation of an advanced (smart) meter on your home by DTE.
Microwave radiation: the type of radiation emitted by smart meters. Known to cause biological harm.
Non-transmitting meter: another name for the DTE and Consumers opt-out meters.
Opt-out meter: this is a smart meter. The only thing that is different is the radio-transmitter is turned off. It still generates dirty electricity, it still retains the two antennas, and it is only incrementally less harmful to your health. It can still record detailed information about your electrical usage.
Radio-disabled meter: another name for the DTE opt-out meter.
Radio-off meter: another name for the DTE opt-out meter.
Radiofrequency (RF): high-frequency electromagnetic waves in the range of 10 MHz to 300 Ghz. All wireless devices, including smart meters, cell phones, and Wi-Fi emit RF.
Switched mode power supply: contained in all smart meters, it creates dirty electricity.
van der Waals bonds: an extremely weak electromagnetic force that helps hold the DNA double helix together. Breakage of the van der Waals bond may cause changes in DNA that can lead to cancer. RF and other EMFs can disrupt the van der Waals bonds.
